Richard Cimiluca, 61, Garfield Resident, Formerly Of Saddle Brook

GARFIELD, N.J. – Richard Cimiluca, of Garfield, formerly of Saddle Brook, died Monday, June 27. He was 61.

He worked for Versa Products as a machinist. He was a very active member of the Paramus Elks, Lodge 2001 and a former exalted ruler. 

Some of his notable achievements with the Elks are: Exalted ruler 2001-2002 and 2004-2005, Elk of the year 2007-2008, lodge esquire for four years, leading knight 2000-2001, loyal knight 2003-2004, secretary past exalted ruler association 2002-2003 and 2005-2006, president past exalted ruler association 2006-2007, northeast district chairman, special children committee 2006-2007, miracle run committee since 2005, hoop shoot-soccer shoot chairman 2004-2006, better parades committee since 1996, kitchen committee, special children escort for Ava Cristo, and house committee, trustee, miracle run committee for special children.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathleen (McSweeney) Cimiluca; his daughters,  Linda Cimiluca and Kimberly Ciummo and her husband, Vinny; and his brothers, Paul Cimiluca and his wife, Cathy, Carl Cimiluca and his wife, Isabel, and David Cimiluca.

He was predeceased by his sister, Janice Zangrando.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 445 Fifth Ave., River Edge. Interment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
